We seek to offer youth and adults alike the opportunity to seek Christ in a wilderness setting, where one can find time for silence and prayerful meditation . Starting with a series of staffed backpacking trips during the summer of 2006, with plans for expansion to rock climbing and sea kayaking in the future, Alaska Backcountry Ministries works to foster spiritual formation and instill an appreciation for wild places.
As a relatively new organization, we are facing many challenges that accompany starting a sustainable ministry. First and foremost, we are in need of your prayers and your spiritual support. Additionally, any other form of support that you would be willing to contribute would be appreciated and welcomed. Monetary, equipment and even donations of expertise and knowledge are all areas where you can be of service to us.
